Habitat Builds Earth Friendly Passive Houses

A passive home is one that is built in the most energy efficient way possible. They take extreme measures during the construction of the homes, including triple panned, insulated windows. They build the homes completely air tight to make sure all of the energy is used in the most efficient way possible. This particular passive home is being built by Habitat for Humanity for an Ethiopian man and his family. The reason that these types of homes are great for a organization like Habitat is because the energy costs for the home are decreased by 90% and are much more manageable for families with very low income.
